Pai in the sky.

So, now that Phi Phi is done, I can write about Pai fun times.

There is not that much to say about Pai really. It was quite pleasant, but we didn't really do much there. We got the bus from Chiang Mai, and it was a bit of a bad journey because Becky got sick. She was ok in the end though. A girl from Israel told her to drink lemon juice, so she did and she was ok.

When we got to Pai, we stayed in a bamboo hut by the river. I was a little worried about the whole hut malarkey, but Becky really wanted to stay there, so I said I would. I just didnt fancy sharing my bed with some scary bugs, that's all.

We had a very nice lunch on our first day in Pai. It was at a hippyish kind of cafe that I think Ro Hen would really like. I had a pesto salad with chicken. It was very tasty. After lunch we did nothing for a while and in the evening time we walked around a market. Then we went for a drink by the river.

We didn't really sleep very well on that first night, because the monks were having a bit of a party in Pai. Something about new monks starting to learn about the monk ways. And they have a party to celebrate. It involved lots of strange music. And then a load of animals started making animal noises in the night. And then, a lady in the next hut found a spider in her bed and freaked out, and we could hear her load and clear. Golly.

The next day, Becky wanted to go to a different market. We walked for about a bajillion years to find it, and it was the heat of the day, so it was not fun times. When we finally got there, we discovered that it was a fruit market. A sodding fruit market. I was not a bappy bunny. So in the afternoon we went to the pool and chillaxed.

In the evening time we were going to go and check out a pool party, but it was a 2km walk, so we decieded that it was too much effort. We drank malibu and pineapple by the river and then went to bed. I found a huge spider in the bathroom earlier in the day, so I was not looking forward to the night itme when it oculd have potentially crawled into bed with me. I was ok though. Phew.
